When replacing the rope around a wood-burning or multi-fuel stove door, choosing the rope itself is only part of the job.
You may also need the correct stove rope adhesive.
And one question comes up frequently:
Can I just use normal glue?
Generally, you should use an adhesive specifically designed and rated for the temperatures and application involved.
Why does stove rope need adhesive?
Depending on the appliance design, stove rope adhesive is used to help secure the rope within its channel.
This helps keep the rope positioned correctly during installation and subsequent use.
Can I use normal glue for stove rope?
