Silicone rubber is a synthetic elastomer made from a unique blend of silicone polymer, fillers, and additives. It is known for its high temperature resistance, excellent electrical insulating properties, and good chemical resistance. Silicone rubber is a versatile material that can be formulated to meet a wide range of specifications, including hardness, color, and elasticity.

Silicone rubber has many applications across various industries, including automotive, medical, construction, and consumer goods. It is often used in gaskets, seals, O-rings, and other components that require a high level of flexibility, durability, and resistance to heat and chemicals.

Silicone extrusions are an excellent way to produce small quantities of extrusions, the tooling is much cheaper than standard rubber tooling and where extrusions of EPDM etc may need to be run off in several thousand metres at a time, Silicone can be run off in as little as 10mtrs. We have a lot of extrusion tools from previous customers that can be used as well if it matches your needs, saving money on tooling charges as well. Just check out our tooling range here
