Rest in Peace to Our Nick

It is with great sadness that I share the passing of our much-loved colleague, family member, father and grandfather, Nick Salt, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday 11th July 2026.
Nick was far more than an employee. He was part of the heart of my business and my family. His sense of humour, kindness, hard work and steady presence have been part of the business for many years, and there will be a space that simply cannot be filled.
Our thoughts are especially with his sons, James and Harry, who work alongside me too. I also hold close in my heart Harry's daughter Evie, Nick's daughter Emily and her son Lennie, as well as the grandchildren I shared with Nick; Florence, Ava, Alice (James children), as they come to terms with losing their beloved grandfather and father.
This year has been unimaginably difficult for them all, having also lost their mother and nannie just seven weeks ago. No family should have to endure so much heartbreak in such a short space of time.
Nick wasn't just part of our working days; he was part of every family gathering, every celebration and every memory. His quick wit, his laughter and the way he could always make people smile will stay with us forever.
We extend our deepest condolences to all of Nick's family and friends. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
Nick, you will be deeply missed, both here at work and all of our family occasions.
