Stuart BulbeckThe Black Marine Grade Rubber Double D Fender is made of tough durable Chloroprene (Neoprene) Polymer 70° IRHD (International Rubber Hardness Degrees) which is not like the cheap PVC versions on the market.
It comes with an 18/8 marine grade stainless insert strip pre-punched for easy installation. The Chloroprene polymer has a combination of technically essential properties such as good mechanical properties, heat resistance, ozone and weather resistance, flame resistance and adequate electrical properties, which are not obtained with other synthetic rubbers.
These properties make it an ideal choice for use in marine environments.
